Brenda Janowitz (born June 22, 1973) is an American novelist and former attorney from Long Island, New York. She is the author of multiple novels of contemporary women’s fiction often inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Age and family dynamics; her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post and other national outlets. She attended Cornell University and Hofstra University School of Law before practicing law and later turning to fiction writing.
