Mary Alice Monroe
Mary Alice Monroe is a New York Times bestselling American novelist best known for her Lowcountry fiction that explores the parallels between nature and human nature. She is the author of the Beach House series and more than 30 books, many of which engage environmental themes and strong Southern women. Monroe has been active in conservation causes and is an inductee of the South Carolina Academy of Authors.
