Garth Stein

Garth Stein is an American author, filmmaker, and playwright based in Seattle, Washington. He is widely known for his internationally bestselling novel, The Art of Racing in the Rain, which explores the human condition through the perspective of a dog. Before focusing on writing, Stein worked as a documentary filmmaker and producer, co-producing the Academy Award-winning short film The Lunch Date. He is also a co-founder of the non-profit collective Seattle7Writers.
