Anthony Doerr is an American author known for lyrical, deeply researched fiction and short stories. Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he has written novels and short story collections that span historical settings and speculative elements, most notably All the Light We Cannot See and Cloud Cuckoo Land. His work has been widely translated and has received major literary prizes and fellowships.
