Allegra Goodman

Allegra Goodman is an American novelist and short-story writer raised in Honolulu and based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her novels include Kaaterskill Falls, Intuition, The Cookbook Collector, Sam, The Chalk Artist, and Isola; she has also published short-story collections such as The Family Markowitz and Total Immersion. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker and other major outlets, and she is the recipient of a Whiting Award and other honors.
