Somaiya Daud

Somaiya Daud is an American author and scholar known for her young adult science fiction and fantasy novels. She holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Washington, with a focus on world literature and nineteenth-century orientalism. Her work, including the Mirage duology, is noted for its exploration of colonialism, identity, and cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from her Moroccan background and Arabic poetry.
