Erin Morgenstern

Erin Morgenstern (born July 8, 1978) is an American novelist and multimedia artist best known for her debut novel The Night Circus (2011). Raised in Marshfield, Massachusetts, she studied theater and studio art at Smith College. Morgenstern's work blends fantasy and magical realism; The Night Circus won the 2012 Locus Award for Best First Novel and an Alex Award from the American Library Association. Her second novel, The Starless Sea, was published in 2019. She also creates visual art and projects related to her books.
