Susanna Clarke
Susanna Mary Clarke is an English author born on November 1, 1959. She is best known for her debut novel, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (2004), an alternative history that won the Hugo Award. Her work often features magical settings and a style reminiscent of 19th-century writers. Clarke's second novel, Piranesi (2020), won the Women's Prize for Fiction. She has also published short story collections and is known for her intricate plots and world-building.
