Joanne Harris
Joanne Michèle Sylvie Harris is a British author born in Barnsley, Yorkshire, to a French mother and a British father. She worked as a teacher of French for 15 years before the success of her 1999 novel, Chocolat, allowed her to write full-time. She has written over 30 books across various genres, including literary fiction, fantasy, and psychological thrillers. She is an OBE and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
