Thornton Wilder

Thornton Niven Wilder (1897–1975) was a prominent American playwright and novelist, and the only writer to win Pulitzer Prizes for both fiction and drama. Known for his innovative theatrical techniques and philosophical explorations of the human condition, his most celebrated works include the plays 'Our Town' and 'The Skin of Our Teeth', and the novel 'The Bridge of San Luis Rey'.
