Nikos Kazantzakis was a renowned Greek writer, journalist, politician, poet, and philosopher. Widely considered a giant of modern Greek literature, he is best known for his novels such as 'Zorba the Greek', 'The Last Temptation of Christ', and 'Christ Recrucified'. His work often explored existential, spiritual, and philosophical themes, heavily influenced by Friedrich Nietzsche and Henri Bergson. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature nine times.
