Jostein Gaarder
Jostein Gaarder is a Norwegian intellectual and author known for his novels, short stories, and children's books. A former high school philosophy teacher, he frequently incorporates philosophical themes, metafiction, and stories-within-stories into his work, often writing from the perspective of children to explore wonder about the world. He achieved international fame with his 1991 novel, 'Sophie's World'.
