John Boyne

John Boyne (born 30 April 1971) is an Irish novelist and writer of fiction for adults and younger readers. He is best known for The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2006), an international bestseller that has sold millions of copies and been adapted for film and stage. Boyne has published numerous novels, novellas, short stories and picture books, and has received multiple Irish and international literary awards. He lives in Dublin.
