Rafi Zabor

Rafi Zabor (born Joel Zaborovsky) is an American author, music journalist, and jazz drummer. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he is best known for his debut novel, The Bear Comes Home, which won the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction in 1998. He has also worked as a music critic for publications such as Musician magazine and the Village Voice, and has published a memoir titled I, Wabenzi.
