Mohammed Naseehu Ali is a Ghanaian-American writer and musician based in Brooklyn, New York. Born in Kumasi, Ghana, he moved to the United States in 1988. He is best known for his short story collection, 'The Prophet of Zongo Street', which explores life in Ghanaian zongo neighborhoods. He is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy and Bennington College, and he teaches creative writing at New York University.
