Edwidge Danticat
Edwidge Danticat is a prominent Haitian-American author, novelist, and essayist known for her evocative explorations of the Haitian experience, migration, identity, and the complexities of family relationships. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she moved to the United States at age twelve. Her work, which includes novels, short story collections, and memoirs, has received widespread critical acclaim and numerous prestigious awards, including a MacArthur Fellowship.
