David Chariandy
David Chariandy is a Canadian writer and academic, currently a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Toronto. Born in 1969 in Scarborough, Ontario, to Trinidadian immigrant parents, his work frequently explores themes of diaspora, migration, race, belonging, and the immigrant experience in Canada. He is the author of the novels 'Soucouyant' and 'Brother', as well as the memoir 'I've Been Meaning to Tell You: A Letter to My Daughter'.
