André Alexis
André Alexis is a celebrated Canadian novelist, playwright, and short-story writer born in Trinidad and raised in Ottawa. Known for his philosophical and imaginative prose, he is perhaps best recognized for his 'Quincunx Cycle,' a series of five interlinked novels including the Giller Prize-winning 'Fifteen Dogs.' His work often explores themes of consciousness, mortality, and the human experience, frequently set against the backdrop of Southern Ontario.
