Steven Heighton

Steven Heighton (1961–2022) was a celebrated Canadian novelist, poet, essayist, and musician. Known for his award-winning poetry and fiction, his work often explored themes of place, culture, and politics. He was a recipient of the Governor General's Literary Award for Poetry and was a prolific writer whose books were translated into multiple languages. He lived in Kingston, Ontario, for much of his career.
