Esi Edugyan

Esi Edugyan is a celebrated Canadian novelist known for her richly imagined and impeccably researched stories that explore themes of race, history, and belonging. Born in Calgary to Ghanaian immigrants, she studied creative writing at the University of Victoria and Johns Hopkins University. She has twice won the prestigious Scotiabank Giller Prize for her novels 'Half-Blood Blues' and 'Washington Black'.
