Paul Harding

Paul Harding (born 1967) is an American author and former musician. He is best known for his debut novel, Tinkers (2009), which won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Harding grew up in Wenham, Massachusetts, and previously played drums in the band Cold Water Flat. He holds a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He has taught creative writing at various institutions, including Harvard University, the University of Iowa, and Stony Brook University.
