Jennifer duBois is an American novelist born in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1983. She is the author of "A Partial History of Lost Causes," "Cartwheel," "The Spectators," and "The Last Language." Her debut novel won the California Book Award for First Fiction and the Northern California Book Award for Fiction, and was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award for Debut Fiction. She is a recipient of a Whiting Award and has been named a National Book Foundation's 5 Under 35 honoree. DuBois holds a BA in political science and philosophy from Tufts University, an MFA in fiction from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and was a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University. She currently teaches in the MFA program at Texas State University and lives in Austin, Texas.
