Emily Brightwell is the pen name of American author Cheryl Arguile. Born in West Virginia and raised in Pasadena, California, she is best known for her long-running 'Mrs. Jeffries' Victorian mystery series. She has also written romance novels under the pseudonym Sarah Temple and young adult fiction as Cheryl Lanham.
