Gerbrand Bakker

Gerbrand Bakker is a Dutch novelist, columnist, and gardener. He gained international acclaim with his debut novel 'Boven is het stil' (The Twin), which won the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award in 2010. He has also worked as a subtitler for nature films and a skating instructor. His work is known for its restrained, clear prose and exploration of themes such as isolation and family.
