Carmen Agra Deedy
Carmen Agra Deedy is a Cuban-American author and storyteller known for her children's books and personal narratives. Born in Havana, Cuba, in 1960, she immigrated to the United States as a refugee in 1963 and grew up in Decatur, Georgia. She is a New York Times bestselling author whose work often draws on her experiences as an immigrant and her love of storytelling. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to children's literature and storytelling.
