Bethanie Deeney Murguia

Bethanie Deeney Murguia is an American author and illustrator of children's picture books. Raised in Western New York, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rochester with a BA in psychology and fine art, and later earned an MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Before focusing exclusively on writing and illustrating, she worked as an art director for Hearst Magazines. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
