Patricia C. McKissack
Patricia C. McKissack (1944–2017) was a prolific and acclaimed American author of over 100 books for children and young adults. Known for her dedication to showcasing African American history, folklore, and the minority experience, she often collaborated with her husband, Fredrick McKissack. Her work, which includes picture books, biographies, and historical fiction, has been widely recognized for its contribution to diversity in children's literature.
