Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch
Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch is a Ukrainian-Canadian author known for her scrupulously researched historical fiction and narrative non-fiction for children and young adults. Her work frequently explores themes of war, genocide, and the refugee experience from a young person's perspective. A former librarian, she did not learn to read until age nine, an experience she credits with shaping her perspective as a writer. She has received numerous honors, including the Order of Princess Olha from the Ukrainian government.
