Born in Syracuse, NY, he studied fine art and writing before beginning his career in children's literature in 2001. He is known for works such as the 'Clueless McGee' series, 'Good News, Bad News', and 'Hush Little Polar Bear'. He lives in Massachusetts and frequently visits schools and libraries.
