Sue Halpern is an American author, journalist, and scholar-in-residence at Middlebury College. She has written numerous books of both fiction and nonfiction, covering topics ranging from neuroscience and memory to nature and contemporary life. Her work frequently appears in publications such as The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, and The New York Times. She is a former Rhodes Scholar and Guggenheim Fellow.
