Elizabeth McCracken

Elizabeth McCracken is an acclaimed American author known for her novels, short story collections, and memoir. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and a former public librarian, she has held the James A. Michener Chair in Creative Writing at the University of Texas at Austin. Her work often explores themes of family, memory, and displacement, and she has received numerous grants and fellowships, including from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
