Lea Carpenter

Lea Carpenter is an American writer and editor, known for her novels "Eleven Days" (2013), "Red, White, Blue" (2018), and "Ilium" (2024). She is also a screenwriter, having written the screenplay for the film "Mile 22." Carpenter holds degrees from Princeton University and Harvard Business School, where she was valedictorian. She has worked in literary publishing, including as a founding editor of Francis Ford Coppola's "Zoetrope" and as Deputy Publisher for "The Paris Review." Carpenter is also a lecturer at Columbia Law School and has been involved with the New York Public Library, where she founded the "Young Lions" group. Her work often explores themes of espionage, war, and family.
