Anne Blankman is an award-winning author of historical fiction for young adults and middle-grade readers. She grew up in Niskayuna, New York, and developed a love for writing at a young age. Blankman graduated from Union College with degrees in English and history, and later earned a master's degree in information science. She worked as a youth services librarian before becoming a full-time author. Her work often explores themes of friendship, survival, and identity, drawing inspiration from historical events and personal experiences. Blankman currently lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her family.
