Ruth Gruener

Ruth Gruener was a hidden child during the Holocaust. After the war, she and her parents faced struggles as displaced people in war-ravaged Europe before immigrating to America. Upon arriving in Brooklyn, they began to build a new life, though Ruth initially struggled with the language and with nightmares and flashbacks of her wartime experiences.
