Stephanie Danler is an American novelist, memoirist, and screenwriter. She is best known for her debut novel "Sweetbitter" (2016), an international bestseller that was adapted into a Starz television series for which she served as creator and executive producer. Her memoir "Stray" was published in 2020. Danler's essays and criticism have appeared in various publications, including The Sewanee Review, The New York Times Book Review, and Vogue. She is also working on a forthcoming neo-noir novel titled "Smog."
