Heidi Heilig
Heidi Heilig grew up in Hawaii, where she rode horses and raised peacocks. She later moved to New York City and pursued a career in writing. Heilig holds an MFA from New York University in Musical Theatre Writing and has written books and lyrics for several shows. Her travels have taken her to various places, including Morocco and South Africa. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her family. Heilig is known for her Young Adult fantasy novels, often incorporating elements of history, mythology, and time travel. She has also written about her experiences with bipolar disorder, which has shaped her life and writing.
