
Lauren James
Lauren James is a British author known for her young adult science fiction and thriller novels. She studied Chemistry and Physics at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2014. James's work often features themes of deep time, queer found families, unreliable narrators, and plot twists. She is also known for her advocacy of STEM education and her work as a story consultant for Netflix's Heartstopper. James is the founder of the Climate Fiction Writers League and runs a Queer Writers group in Coventry. Her novels have been translated into multiple languages and have sold over two hundred thousand copies worldwide. Her debut novel, The Next Together, was longlisted for the Branford Boase Award. The Loneliest Girl in the Universe is being adapted into a feature film by Amazon MGM Studios.
