
Marianne Kaurin
Marianne Kaurin is a Norwegian author of young adult and children's fiction, born on May 18, 1974. She studied creative writing and literature at the Norwegian Institute for Children's Books in Oslo. Kaurin made her debut in 2012 with the young adult novel "Almost Autumn" (Nærmere høst), which received critical acclaim and several awards, including the Norwegian Ministry of Culture's First Book Award and the Uprisen (the YA Award chosen by young adults). Her middle-grade novel "Our Own Little Paradise" (Syden) won the prestigious German Youth Literature Prize (Deutsche Jugendliteraturpreis) in 2021. Kaurin also works as a children's book editor. She lives in Nesodden, Norway.
