Mary Casanova
Mary Casanova is an award-winning author of children's books, including picture books, chapter books, middle-grade novels, and historical young adult novels. Her work often draws inspiration from her life on the Minnesota-Canadian border and explores themes of nature, relationships, and coming-of-age. She is known for writing stories that matter and are engaging for young readers. Casanova has received numerous awards, including the ALA "Notable," Aesop Accolades, Parent's Choice "Gold" Award, Booklist Editor's Choice, and two Minnesota Book Awards. She also founded the Northwoods Young Writer's Camp.
