
Heidi Murkoff
Heidi Murkoff is an American author and maternal health advocate, best known as the creator of the "What to Expect" brand. Her flagship book, "What to Expect When You're Expecting," first published in 1984, has sold over 24 million copies and is the core of a series that has sold over 44 million copies worldwide. Murkoff also created WhatToExpect.com, a comprehensive digital platform, and founded the nonprofit What to Expect Project, which supports military families and promotes equitable maternal healthcare globally. She has been recognized for her contributions with numerous awards, including being named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2011.
