Hope Edelman

Hope Edelman is an American non-fiction author, essayist, and writing instructor, recognized as an expert on the long-term effects of early parent loss. Her work often draws from her personal experience of losing her mother to breast cancer at age 17. She is the author of several acclaimed books, including the international bestseller 'Motherless Daughters,' which explores the impact of mother loss on women's lives. Edelman also founded MotherlessDaughters.com, offering support and resources for those who have lost their mothers. She has a master's degree in nonfiction writing from the University of Iowa and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
