Stacy Gregg is a New Zealand author of junior fiction, known for her horse-themed books. She began her career as a fashion journalist before transitioning to writing. Gregg is the author of the "Pony Club Secrets" series and "Pony Club Rivals" series, and has also written standalone novels. Her book "Nine Girls" won the Margaret Mahy Book of the Year Award in 2024. Gregg has Māori heritage (Ngāti Mahuta and Ngāti Pukeko) and her later works, such as "Nine Girls," explore this aspect of her identity. Her books have sold over 1.5 million copies globally, and her "Pony Club Secrets" series was adapted into a TV show called 'Mystic'. She has won multiple awards, including the Children's Choice Junior Fiction award at the New Zealand Post Book Awards for Children and Young Adults multiple times. Gregg has also written for television, including the series "My Life Is Murder."
