P. J. Parrish is the pseudonym of two sisters, Kristy Montee and Kelly Nichols (née Montee). They are the New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors of the Louis Kincaid and Joe Frye series of mystery thrillers. Their books have won numerous awards, including an Edgar Award nomination, two Shamus Awards, an Anthony Award, and an International Thriller Writers Award. Kristy Montee earned a degree in education and worked as a reporter and editor before turning to fiction, writing four romance novels before collaborating with her sister. Kelly Nichols worked in the gaming industry and as an HR manager before teaming up with Kristy. They write crime fiction, often featuring a biracial detective, Louis Kincaid, and explore themes of race and social issues.
