
Michael Scott
Michael Peter Scott is an Irish writer known for his science fiction, fantasy, horror, and romance novels. He is also a collector and editor of folklore and is best known for his "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" book series. Scott has written over 100 books in more than 30 years, with works for adults, young adults, and children. His first book, "Irish Folk and Fairy Tales, Volume 1," was published in 1983. He is considered an authority on Celtic folklore and has been credited with reviving interest in the subject. Scott has also written for stage and screen, including documentaries and dramas. He was the Writer in Residence for Dublin's European City of Culture in 1991 and was listed in "Who's Who in Ireland" as one of the 1,000 most significant Irish people.
