Jenny Lecoat
Jenny Lecoat is a screenwriter and novelist born in Jersey, Channel Islands. Her family was involved in resistance activities during the German Occupation of the islands. After moving to England, she pursued a drama degree and spent a decade as a feminist stand-up comedian, earning a Perrier Award nomination in 1986. She also worked as a journalist, feature writer, and television and radio presenter before focusing on screenwriting. Her feature film, "Another Mother's Son," is based on her family's experiences during the Occupation. Her debut novel, "The Girl from the Channel Islands," was a New York Times bestseller.
