
Ming-Dao Deng
Deng Ming-Dao is a Chinese American author, artist, philosopher, teacher, and martial artist. He is known for his writings on Taoism and practical meditations. Deng studied qigong, philosophy, meditation, and internal martial arts with Taoist master Kwan Saihung for thirteen years, and with two other masters before that. He holds degrees from Occidental College and the University of California, Berkeley. Deng was raised by two artists, Jade Snow Wong and Woodrow Ong, and is an award-winning graphic designer and fine artist whose work is in several collections, including the Brooklyn Museum. His books have been translated into fifteen languages.
