McKenzie Wark is an Australian-born writer, critical theorist, and Professor of Culture and Media at The New School. She is known for her writings on media theory, critical theory, new media, and the Situationist International. Her best-known works include "A Hacker Manifesto" and "Gamer Theory." In recent years, her writing has explored autofiction, taking on themes of sexual aesthetics, dissociation, and her own experience of coming out as a trans woman.
