Alison McGhee is an American author who writes novels, picture books, poems, and essays for all ages. She is a New York Times bestselling author and has won numerous awards, including four Minnesota Book Awards and the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award. McGhee is also a professor emerita of creative writing at Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her work has been translated into more than twenty languages.
