Allison Moorer is a Grammy- and Academy Award-nominated singer-songwriter, producer, and author. Her memoir, "Blood," published in 2019, recounts the traumatic event of her father murdering her mother and then himself when she was fourteen. Her second memoir, "I Dream He Talks to Me," was published in 2021. Moorer holds an MFA in Creative Writing and her work has been published in various literary outlets. She received the Hall-Waters Prize for Excellence in Southern Writing in 2020.
