John Dunning was an American writer of detective fiction and non-fiction, known for his reference books on old-time radio and his mystery series featuring Denver bookseller and ex-policeman Cliff Janeway. He owned the Old Algonquin Bookstore in Denver for many years and was an expert on rare and collectible books. Dunning also hosted a weekly radio show in Denver featuring old-time radio programs.
